Practical 

Week 1

We were required to list down my 3 favorite graphic design work from Pinterest and explain why I like the designs.

Design #1:

Description: 

I think the changes of characters’ shadows is an interesting idea. 

When I saw this design, I felt optimistic and positive. 

I like designs with minimalism and educational significance.

This Poster expressed :

The color style of the whole picture is yellow and black. 

The upper part of the backdrop is bright yellow and the lower part of the backdrop is dark yellow. This change cooperates with the angle of the shadow of the characters. 

Most of the characters stand in a row whose shadows become words. 

Each person in the picture is an independent individual. But when they are together, facing the bright direction, a power will be created and the team can find the short cuts.

Description:

The color of this design is beautiful and harmonious, which impressed me at once.

It shows Chinese style by using Chinese writing brush

This Poster expressed :

The water surface in the middle of the composition divides the picture into upper and lower parts. 

Mountains on the  lower part are upside down which have the same colors as the Chinese writing brush.  

The dark series of color with a little bright green shows a feeling of long but living history.

Description:

This design uses three colors with strong contrast which attracted my attention at the first time. 

This Poster expressed :

The black part of the picture represents the shadow. 

Highlight is usually represented as the color of white. But the designer used the color of pink rather than white as highlight in order to show the horror atmosphere.  

The white color of the picture becomes the shape of a scissor which also divides the picture into several parts. 

There are four people in the middle of the scissor. Both sides of the scissor have a man who is staring at each other in shock. 

Maybe the scissor that separates the characters represents the reason for the relationship’s breakdown.

Week 2

 Choose and identify my collage's design elements to be cut out and compose it into my own concept & story.
 Pre compositing my collage's design elements into a composition.

Week 3

Create 3 different composition digital collages from the images that I’ve downloaded.

Create A4 canvas size  (vertical) on Photoshop and start to do the compositions.
